Out with the old, in with the new

Simple things can make us feel so much better about ourselves.
Spring cleaning for example. It is hell getting it done, but when you do... you feel unstoppable! I usually get in over my head on projects. I feel overwhelmed and then not much gets done. I have learned one thing over the years that has helped me out of the crazy project stage and now, I can tackle any project. START LITTLE! Go to lets say, your dishes cabinet, lets focus on your eating plates. I got tired of stressing over matching plates. (I used to stress so bad over this) pull out all of the old dishes that you never use. Set them aside and move on to saucers, or just finish one cabinet. Choose a cabinet a day, a cabinet a week, whatever suits your needs. Your house will thank you by looking a little less cluttered the more of these little projects that you can get behind you! I am excited to share that I found an article that spoke about finding a dish that makes you smile. A simple yard sale plate that is pretty, collect them, you have your own dish set. One that you created all by yourself and is unique to only you. How fun does that sound?
Yesterday, I tackled that awful medicine cabinet that always seems to acquire everything under the sun. It only took me 20 minutes and I have total organization, for a little while at least. Next step, is my closet.
